Krissi Bohn, 
Performer

Krissi trained at Manchester Metropolitan School
of Theatre and is best known for playing Jenna Kamara in Coronation Street between 2012 and2014. She first performed T he Bogus Woman in 2008 during a summer season at Theatre by the Lake, Keswick. That same season, as part of the repertoire, Krissi also played Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Earnest and the Social Worker in Alan Bennett’s The Lady in the Van. Other theatre credits include: The Railway Children (Peacock Theatre, West End), Seeing Without Light (The Drum, Plymouth), Pericles (National Theatre Educational Tour), Children of the Crown (Nottingham Playhouse) and Heaven Eyes (National Tour).

Zoë Waterman, 
Director

Zoë trained for an MFA in Theatre Directing at Birkbeck College and won the New Wimbledon Theatre’s Emerging Director Award in 2007. Her directing credits include Amy’s View and After Miss Julie (Nottingham Playhouse); The Bogus Woman, Shining City and Enlightenment (Theatre by the Lake, Keswick) and The Promise (New Wimbledon Theatre Studio). She has also worked as Gregory Doran’s Assistant Directorat the RSC and as Associate Director to Lucy Pitman-Wallace on Much Ado About Nothing (Malmö Stadsteater) and The Burial at Thebes (International Tour).

Sophia Lovell Smith, 
Designer

Sophia studied Theatre Arts at Bretton Hall and has been designing for the stage since the mid 1990s.  Her design portfolio is wide ranging and includes work for Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, Unicorn, Theatre Centre, 20 Stories High, Z-Arts, Theatre-Rites, Polka, Royal & Derngate Theatres, Little Angel Theatre, ENO, National Theatre, Nottingham Playhouse, Tell Tale Hearts, Trestle and Theatre by the Lake.  Sophia designed the 2008 production of The Bogus Woman at Theatre by the Lake.​

Jo Dawson, Lighting Designer
Jo trained at the Central School of Speech & Drama and has been lighting shows since 1994. Jo has designed for numerous theatres and companies across the UK including The Old Laundry Theatre, Bowness; Claybody Theatre; Birmingham School of Acting; Open Clasp Theatre Co; Reveal Theatre; Royal Court, Liverpool; York Theatre Royal; Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough; New Vic, Stoke; Belgrade Theatre, Coventry; Arts Theatre, London; New Ambassadors, London. Jo has worked with the team at Theatre by the Lake on both Studio summer seasons and Main House productions. Jo designed the lighting for the 2008 production of The Bogus Woman.


Matt Hall, Sound Designer
Matt worked on the original Keswick production of The Bogus Woman in 2008, whilst he was Resident Sound Designer and Deputy Chief Technician at Theatre by the Lake. He left Keswick in 2009 to join Chichester Festival Theatre’s sound department, where he worked as Deputy Head of Sound for two years on shows including ENRON, Yes, Prime Minister, Love Story and Sweeney Todd. Matt then went on to work as a freelance sound designer and production engineer for theatre, musicals and magic shows all over the UK. He re-joined Theatre by the Lake in 2013 as Head of Production, in which role he production manages all the theatre’s home produced work and tours.

Elspeth Morrison, Accent Coach
Elspeth works with actors on a one to one basis to perfect their accents and dialects for theatre and radio, including the BBC’s Radio Drama Company, as well as TV, film and games, such as Need for Speed. She is regularly in demand as a guest on programmes such as BBC Radio 4’s Front Row, the Today programme and Channel 5 News to comment about the voice and its workings. Elspeth recently appeared in Channel 4’s tongue in cheek An Immigrant’s Guide to Britain.

Kate Aisling Jones, Stage Manager
Kate graduated from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) with a BA Hons in Theatre and Performance Technology. Her previous theatre/TV credits include: Stage Manager for Theatre at the Mill’s (TatM) Oliver!, Assistant Production Manager for Opera Ostfold’s Nabucco and Tosca, Production Assistant and Education Stage Manager for English Touring Opera’s Spring 2015 Tour, Assistant Stage Manager for TatM’s Slimmer For Christmas, Trainee Lighting Programmer for HBO’s Game of Thrones, Lighting Designer for Festival of Music for Winds and Percussion’s For Lenge, Lenge, Lenge Siden and Co-Production Manager for Liverpool Playhouse’s Everyword Festival.

Sophie Curtis, 
Producer (Curtis Productions)

Sophie trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre
Arts and has subsequently worked in casting,
stage management, set design, marketing, general management and production. Based in London, Sophie works freelance on theatre projects across the country. Prior to her freelance work, Sophie spent seven years as Producer for Theatre by the Lake, working on more than 60 in-house productions, including The Bogus Woman, as well as touring work. Sophie is also Associate Casting Director at Theatre by the Lake and an Associate Agent at Esta Charkham Associates - taking an active role in nurturing and developing careers of both young and established actors.

Theatre by the Lake,
Co-Producer

Situated by Derwentwater on the edge of Keswick, amid the magnificent northern fells of the Lake District, Theatre by the Lake enjoys one of the most attractive locations in the UK. The only professional producing theatre in Cumbria, it creates nine new productions each year and presents over 400 performances in the theatre’s two auditoria, as well as offering occasional productions on tour. Since it opened in 1999, Theatre by the Lake has become an important part of the English regional theatre scene, delivering a year round programme of home-produced and visiting work and establishing itself as a major attraction for communities of, and visitors to, Cumbria. Theatre by the Lake produced The Bogus Woman in 2008 as part of the Summer Season repertoire.
